Rentsys Recovery Services to Host Greater Boston Area ACP November Chapter Meeting

November 6, 2012

College Station, TX – November 6, 2012 – On Wednesday, November 14, Rentsys Recovery Services will host the November chapter meeting of the Greater Boston Chapter of the Association of Contingency Planners (ACP). GlobaFone CEO Lou Altman will join ACP members to reveal "the myths and mysteries surrounding satellite communications." The meeting will be from 3:45-6 p.m. at Rentsys Recovery’s Business Recovery Center, located at 300 Concord Road, Billerica, MA 01821.

In discussing the importance of this particular ACP meeting, Rentsys Recovery Account Executive David Tedford said: "Many people around the Northeast region were impacted by Hurricane Sandy and many are still in the process of recovering. The impact of Hurricane Sandy reminds us all that we need to have a disaster recovery and business continuity plan in place. Satellite communication plays a major role in the planning process, and during this session, Lou Altman will discuss the reasons why."

Altman’s presentation, which he calls Satcom 101, provides an overview of the definition and functionality of Satcom, as well as some of the solutions available today. The session is designed to help participants assess their organization’s communication needs and determine when it is appropriate to implement a Satcom solution.
