College Station, TX – August 20, 2014 – In the month of September, Rentsys Recovery Services will participate in two Association of Contingency Planners (ACP) conferences: the Emergency Preparedness and Incident Conference (EPIC) on September 17 in Memphis, Tenn., and the 6th Annual Symposium on September 24 in Rochester, N.Y. At the shows, Rentsys will connect with professionals in the disaster recovery (DR), business continuity (BC), contingency planning and emergency management fields.
"As a market leader, it’s important for us to participate in these conferences to educate the market on the latest trends and directions within the BC/DR industry," said David Tedford, Rentsys national sales manager and president of the Boston chapter of the ACP. "Over the past year, we’ve made several strategic acquisitions while developing new BC/DR solutions. We’re excited to share information related to our virtual desktop interface (VDI) packages, as well as our managed cloud services that enable businesses to further enhance their BC/DR solutions."
BlackCloud private cloud services, which Rentsys began offering in January 2014, help organizations meet their regulatory and recovery objectives by enabling rapid data backup and recovery within a secure and flexible infrastructure. BlackCloud services include data vaulting and recovery, site-to-site replication and compliance testing.
Another strategic addition to Rentsys’ suite of solutions is Rentsys Continuity Manager (RCM) software, which helps BC/DR planners work with other departments to gather the information they need to create a centralized, comprehensive BC plan. RCM measures statistical probability of downtime and loss, improves interdepartmental communication, meets federal regulations, integrates with emergency notifications systems and manages incidents in real time.
Rentsys’ BlackCloud and RCM discussions will complement the conference programs, which include sessions on the impact of the recent tornados in the South, strategies for creating engaging business continuity management programs and crisis management best practices.
