Carnival Cruise Lines Completes Successful Test With Rentsys Recovery Services

Preparation Is Key

As part of Carnival’s comprehensive emergency preparedness plan, the company recently trained 400 team members on technologies housed within a Mobile Recovery Center (MRC) situated adjacent to the Miami headquarters.

The MRC featured computer terminals and telephones which were linked directly via satellite to Carnival’s computerized reservations network. It was a seamless process as the company’s reservations and telephony system were available within the MRC, allowing cruise reservations personnel to take live bookings within the off-site center.

Dozens of key executives also toured the facility and were briefed on the center and the company’s wide-ranging contingency plan which would allow Carnival to continue operations in the event of a natural disaster or other emergency.
