OVERVIEW / HISTORY
Rentsys Recovery Services creates flexible recovery strategies that bring people and technology together, providing a complete recovery solution no matter the location. Our services encompass Quickship of critical IT hardware, voice and network recovery, Mobile Recovery Center solutions, traditional center-based hot-site recovery, co-location and FLEXDATA®, our exclusive data backup service.
These services can be combined to provide our clients with a complete solution that is fully testable at the location of their choice. Our goal at Rentsys Recovery is simple: Build solutions that meet the needs of today’s business by bringing people and technology together.
In the early 1990s, companies were migrating from traditional mainframe environments to client-server data centers. Rentsys Recovery started in 1995 by providing companies the ability to Quickship critical IT hardware anywhere in the United States within 24 hours.
In 2001, Rentsys Recovery added Mobile Recovery as a workspace strategy and quickly found that this naturally complemented our Quickship service. Our Mobile Recovery Solution now includes Mobile Workspace, Call Center, Claims Center, Data Center, Command Center and Mobile Banking Centers. We also added Business Recovery Centers to complete our business continuity offering by incorporating a traditional hot-site environment for those clients interested in recovering within a brick and mortar facility.
In 2005, Rentsys Recovery augmented data center recovery and data center services by adding additional co-location services and expanding the Northeast facility near Boston. Rentsys Recovery data centers are designed to address the needs of a tiered solution, allowing clients to budget services based on immediate or less critical needs.
In 2008, Rentsys Recovery opened a Midwest facility, located in Pleasant Prairie, WI. Also in 2008, Rentsys Recovery developed and launched FLEXDATA®. FLEXDATA® is an non-intrusive data backup service that allows for rapid restores within a portable, safe and flexible environment.
Rentsys Recovery successfully supports a rigorous testing schedule and handles multiple disasters each year by providing customizable and complete solutions to meet the recovery needs of today’s business.
